The Dog Room, a living space for man’s best friend is an award-winning kennel created in partnership with Melbourne architect Michael Ong. The kennel is locally made here in Australia with consideration for its social, economic, and environmental good.
The production of the Dog Room is in partnership with Help Manufacturing. HELP is a social enterprise committed to enhancing the lifestyle, independence and ambitions of people with disability. The manufacturing arm, provides meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability so that they can develop new skills in a supported work environment.
The Dog Room is made with a hand-welded aluminium frame and a series of marine ply panels which are carefully detailed to create a distinctly clean appearance. The Dog Room combines minimalistic design with architectural build principles, a well-resolved design allowing you to Buy Once, Buy Well.

Outdoor Use
The Dog Room uses marine ply to allow the product to withstand outdoor conditions. Given Australia’s unpredictable weather patterns, to maintain kennel longevity we recommend the Dog Room placed under shelter (verandahs or porch). A small amount of natural movement of the timber is expected as it adapts to the conditions of your home, due to variations in humidity and temperature.
